RORY O'HALLORAN Rory O'Halloran studied architecture at the NSW Institute of Technology in the 1970's and then went on to work for various architectural practices on a broad range of projects. late 1970's - Rory established his own residential design business in the Sierra Mountains of California, specialising in environmental passive solar alpine residential design mid 1980's - Rory returned to Australia and worked doing architectural design & project management in Sydney. This was a period of transition for Rory during which time he developed his interests in the more practial side of the industry, building. 1989 - Rory obtained his Builder's Licence. Opting for a 'seachange', Rory and his family moved to Byron Bay where they established Byron Design & Construction - a business that combines Rory's architectural design skills and construction expertise. 1994 - Rory became a member of the Housing Industry Association Limited.
